SCHEDULE & REGULATIONS:

This team event, restricted to only 20 teams, is scheduled for every Tuesday night from 19:00 – 22:00 & the 18/19th weekend. The event will be FIDE Rated. It will be played in a swiss format (or Round Robin depending on the entries) over 9 rounds as per the schedule below. No more than 2 players above the rating of 2300 will be allowed in a team. Depending on the number of entries, the organizers will decide on the format of the event. In the event that 20 teams are registered for the event then a robin tournament conducted in 2 groups (Premier & Regular) will be held.

The Prize Fund will be 60% of the total collection. In addition vouchers for dinner & room nights from the CHM Hotel Chain (CitiTel Midvalley, CitiTel Express KL, Boulevard Hotel, Pangkor Beach Resort, CitiTel Penang, CitiTel Express Kota Kinabalu will be given. Details of the prizes will be announced before thestart of the event.

Time Control: 90 minutes + 30 sec increment from move 1) and will kickoff from Tuesday, 10 November 2009. Schedule as given below:

20 December 14:00 – 18:00 followed by the Prize Giving



To allow for flexibility for working staff and students, a team can register up to 8 players, but only 4 players will be playing each match.


Entry Fees: RM 300 (4 players) –- additional players will be charged RM 50 per player
Junior (Under -16): RM 200 (4 players) - additional players will be charged RM 25 per player

CLOSING DATE: SUNDAY, 07 NOVEMBER 2009.
ENTRIES AFTER THIS DATE WILL BE SURCHARGED RM 100. TO ALLOW FOR FLEXIBILITY, ADDITIONAL PLAYERS CAN BE REGISTERED EVEN AFTER THE START OF THE EVENT. CHANGE OF BOARD ORDER, CHANGE OF NAMES etc. WILL BE SURCHARGED RM 20 per change.
